Everything You Wanted to Know About the "Pasoori's" Singer Shae Gill

The recently launched song "Pasoori" of Season 14 of Coke Studio is a worldwide hit and got millions of views in a short amount of time. The magical voice of Ali Sethi has enchanted the public with his melodious voice and the beat that was compiled with it. But what about the co-singer, Shae Gill with her extraordinary voice that played a major part in the song. We couldn't help but find out who was the new prodigy who got quoted as "Dua Lipa of Pakistan" by Ali Sethi himself.



A recent Spotify interview showed the fans who she was. "I am a 23-year old artist from Lahore," said Gill, in the introduction video.

Gill told that her musical journey began in her best friend's room. "It started from my best friend's room in the hostel where we lived together and we started making videos then and that's how Shae Gill started," she said.

When asked about her singing idols, she said, "I would say people who live life passionately,". She also asked about the experience while performing for the coke studio and she answered that as "a whole lot of fun".

Gill is eager to learn and to write classical music and also has some big plans for her future in singing. She told in the interview that she wants to work with the Urdu rap duo Young Stunners and the legend  A.R. Rehman.

She won our hearts in a reaction video of Pasoori as she watched it for the first time. Her reaction made everyone teary in the comment section. Also, Ali Sethi himself appeared in the comments and wrote, "Shae Gill I've got a hundred people telling me you are 'Dua Lipa of Pakistan' (you are you, there is no one like you).
